Executive experience
VP Product — Cloud & UxV Communications · Elsight
2024–2025
Tripled the company's product lines and took a hardware/software communications platform from zero to scale-ready in under four months: validated at 300 units, certified for , unlocking a $1M+ commercial stream. Led full-cycle development from prototype through manufacturing readiness, landed the strategic anchor client, and built a pipeline of five to ten enterprise prospects. Part of the CEO-led business team with direct input on strategy, pricing and market positioning.
Head of Product — Cybersecurity for Fleets · SheeldS
2023–2024
Built a 0→1 SaaS cybersecurity platform for vehicle fleets, owning pricing, messaging and positioning from inception. Replaced the traditional slide deck with , which closed more enterprise deals in one month than the slides had in a year and generated 20+ qualified enterprise leads.
Director of Product — Autonomous & Teleoperation · Ottopia
2022–2023
Defined and executed a three-product strategy for autonomous vehicle teleoperation, expanding the product line from one to three. The vision shifted the investor conversation from whether this was technically possible to how fast it could scale, and was credited with . Led PMs and matrix-managed R&D; enabled SaaS scalability through cloud migration, UX redesign and BI-informed decision frameworks.
Senior Product Manager · Harman
2017–2022
Resurrected a dormant automotive platform: 1 to 15 global OEM clients across 100,000+ vehicles within the first year, driving 1,400% revenue growth from high-six to low-seven figures. Two granted U.S. patents come from this period, both assigned to Red Bend: drone-delivered over-the-air updates, and an in-vehicle central dispatch unit for updating ECUs. Secured the by rewriting the pitch mid-flight, reframing from breakneck speed to proven reliability to match Japanese market priorities. Also conceived and launched a net-new product, opening new revenue streams and distribution channels.
Early career
Software and firmware leadership, with product management starting at Seraphim Optronics in 2007 rather than at Harman in 2017. This is where the claim about debating latency with engineers and ROI with CFOs comes from — it is a record, not a figure of speech.
- Firmware Architect — Intel. Platform-level firmware architecture for enterprise-grade silicon.2015–2016
- Executive R&D Consultant — Freelance. Technical advisory across hardware and embedded systems.2013–2015
- SW Team Lead — PMC-Sierra. Led an embedded software team on complex silicon programmes.2011–2013
- Product Manager & SW Manager — Seraphim Optronics. Built the software department from the ground up for electro-optical covert surveillance systems; the product was accepted into a strategic U.S. defence customer’s portfolio.2007–2011
- SW Team Leader — Rafael. Led software teams on mission-critical defence programmes.2001–2007
- Software Engineer (part-time) — CybroMedical. Israeli startup, alongside his Technion degree — where the count starts.2000–2001

Patents
Three granted U.S. patents, all co-invented. The drone one is why the 1414 Degrees appointment is not a career change: I was filing IP for unmanned software delivery in 2017 and it granted in 2020, years before joining an aerospace and drone advisory board.
- Over the Air Updates Using Drones — A drone flies into wireless range of embedded devices, identifies each one's type, variant, vendor and software version, then selects and transmits the matching update package — reaching devices whose connectivity or network coverage makes conventional over-the-air delivery impossible, or whose gateway has been compromised. US 10,552,147 B2, Red Bend Ltd..Granted 2020
- ECU and Peripherals Update Using Central Dispatch Unit — An in-vehicle dispatch unit lends each ECU a transient update agent over the vehicle bus, which the ECU runs, uses to apply a differential update, then discards — so low-memory controllers gain differential-update, compression and authentication capability they could never permanently store. US 11,256,494 B2, Red Bend Ltd..Granted 2022
- System and Methods to Facilitate Safe Driving — A vehicle safety system that blocks specified phone functionality only while the vehicle is moving, and distinguishes the driver's handset from passengers' using time-difference-of-arrival and channel fingerprinting. US 11,889,015 B2, SaverOne 2014 Ltd.Granted 2024
The Red Bend patents list the inventor as Eli Gur; the SaverOne one lists Eliyahu Gur. Worth knowing if you go looking.

There is another Eli Gur in Israeli tech — a serial entrepreneur and CTO. Different person. This one builds products.
